Peace Dove (pattern)

Description

The dove's body is worked from the middle in two directions, forming the front and back separately. The wings are knitted separately and attached to the body at the end.

Yarn, gauge, and recommended needles

As gauge is not critical for these ornaments, you can skip knitting a gauge swatch and use any yarn and needle size you prefer.
Choose your needle size based on the yarn's yardage (metres per gram). The thicker the yarn and the larger the needles, the larger your finished ornament will be.

Each pattern includes a small table with suggested needle sizes based on the yarn's yardage.

Materials

• Yarn of your choice in white and yellow/orange.
• Circular needles for casting on (optional).
• Double-pointed needles.
• Stitch markers.
• Tapestry needle.
• White sewing thread.
• Ribbon or string for hanging, such as satin ribbon.
• Stuffing.
• Embroidery thread, beads, ribbons, or anything else you'd like to decorate your ornament with.
