Christmas Goose (pattern)
Description
The ornament is worked from the tail end through the body, neck, and head in the round in stockinette stitch. Short rows are used to shape the body. The wings and feet are knitted separately and attached to the body at the end.
Yarn, gauge, and recommended needles
As gauge is not critical for these ornaments, you can skip knitting a gauge swatch and use any yarn and needle size you prefer.
Choose your needle size based on the yarn's yardage (metres per gram). The thicker the yarn and the larger the needles, the larger your finished ornament will be.
Each pattern includes a small table with suggested needle sizes based on the yarn's yardage.
